Who is Rex Landis?

Rex Warren Landis is a multi instrumentalist, songwriter, and engineer that has been working in the music industry for over ten years.

Rex started his music journey playing in the church and continued his musical studies at Point Loma Nazarene University in which he graduated in May 2022 with a degree in Commercial Music Composition and Production. He toured with the Jubilee collective playing Bass Guitar and soon after joined a couple of his friends in establishing a San Diego local band, Tuxedo Cake in which he produced and engineered their first two projects. In summer of 2022, he toured with the band Shaliah as their audio engineer and then produced, mixed and mastered their album Shaliah Live.

Rex relocated to Nashville Tennessee and works as a NSAI songwriter, and as a FOH and tracking Engineer for Opry Entertainment at venues such as Ole Red Nashville, the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry with acts such as Post Malone, Blake Shelton, Jon Pardi, Keith Urban and Jelly Roll. He continues to work as a producer, engineer and session musician. He is an active member of BMI, and his first single “Ghost” released on April 5th, 2023. He is also a member of a group of musicians that host a concert series on Music Row called Stories and Songs.
